Dental Assistant

<p>About the Position: This position is with Defense Health Agency, Dental Clinic, in Fort Benning, Georgia. Work is performed in an office environment from 0730-1630 Monday through Friday. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Assist dentist with simple and complex procedures such as tooth removal, surgical removal of impacted teeth, or excisional biopsies.</p><p>Set up instruments, equipment, and materials such as assembling syringes and IVs for anesthesia, mixing materials for impressions and restorations.</p><p>Participate in stand-up dentistry or four handed sit-down dentistry procedures.</p><p>Adhere to aseptic precautions throughout treatment or procedures.</p><p>Monitor patient throughout treatment or procedures for adverse reactions.</p><p>Educate patient on oral hygiene or post treatment care.</p><p>Perform dental radiographic work.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
