<p>About the Position: This position is located in the Naval Health Clinic in Pearl Harbor, HI A Cost-of-Living Allowance (COLA) has been authorized for Hawaii at the rate of 8.64% (subject to change). Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Observe patient safety standards during all dental treatment.</p><p>Record the patient’s vital signs before and after treatment, especially minor oral surgery.</p><p>Schedule patients for treatment.</p><p>Clean and sterilize materials, instruments, and equipment.</p><p>Perform patient counseling on the cause of dental decay, proper oral hygiene practices, brushing and flossing techniques.</p><p>Follow required infection control guidelines.</p><p>Aid in the training of new dental assistants and students from area community colleges.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
