Dental Assistant

<p>About the Position: This position is located within the Fort Campbell Dental Health Activity (DENTAC) facilities. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Assists dentists in providing complex treatments to patients.</p><p>Prepares patients for treatment by seating them, collecting medical history, and recording vital signs.</p><p>Sets up instruments, equipment, and materials such as assembling syringes and IVs for anesthesia, and mixing materials for impressions and restorations.</p><p>Monitors patients during treatment and identifies signs of adverse reactions or medical concerns.</p><p>Relays dentist's instructions to patients for post-treatment care.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
