Job Description:

Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases. Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures. Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients. Conducts field preparation and maintenance. Ensures the operating room is sterile. Monitors and tracks instrument counts throughout procedures. Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner. Assists the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover times. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Associate in a related field [Preferred]
• Technical/Vocational School in a related field [Required]

• 2+ work experience [Required]
• 2+ years of technical experience [Required]

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

• Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) [Required] OR State Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]
