Job Description:
Hours: 8am-5pm Monday - Friday
Coverage Area: Transylvania, Henderson, Polk and Buncombe
Implements treatment plans established by an Occupational Therapist utilizing recommended techniques, practice guidelines and patient needs. Participates in departmental meetings, education sessions, and performance improvement initiatives to maintain clinical competencies and adhere to professional and evidence-based practices. Documents interventions and patient progress accurately, completely, and timely, using measurable and objective terminology in line with standards of practice and Departmental guidelines. Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of patients. Educates patients, family members, and caregivers on identified needs, ensuring understanding. Monitors patient response to treatment and communicates with the Occupational Therapist for necessary adjustments. Develops patients' strength, endurance, range of motion, and flexibility through therapeutic exercises. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Entry level competency of occupational therapy practice, theory, principle, and applications as defined in competency department policies.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.

• 1+ home care experience [Preferred]

• Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) [Required]
