Job Description:
Day Shift
Up to $15,000 Sign-On Bonus
Up to $3,000 Relocation Assistance
Eligibility requirements apply; 2-year commitment required.
Receives Perioperative and Pre Procedural patients to holding and recovers post-procedural patients. Assists in procedures such as IV insertion, arterial line insertion, epidural, central line placement, and sheath removal. Completes monthly chart reviews and performance improvement measure reporting, and reports findings to the manager or director. Maintains thorough and complete records of each patient’s pre-operative and post-operative/procedural care according to established standards. Cares for specimens properly and handles their disposition according to hospital/lab policy. Makes sound judgments in referring situations beyond the scope of function to the proper person and understands relevant laws and their legal interpretations. Competently carries out activities delegated by the physician concerning medications, treatment, and diagnostic measures. Floats to other areas as patient/census needs require, as directed by management. Assumes charge responsibility of the unit in the absence of the Charge Nurse, Manager, or Director. Reviews policies and procedures related to nursing functions in the assigned unit and utilizes knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective nursing care. Other duties as assigned. Plans, administers, and supervises nursing care activities for Perioperative and Pre/Post Procedural patients. Coordinates the flow of patient traffic from various nursing units back to their respective nursing unit.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Good organizational and communications skills [Required]
• Skills required to work in a critical care area as defined by the unit [Required]
Education:
• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• N/A
Work Experience:
• 1+ years general nursing experience in an acute care setting [Required]
• 2+ years in a required specialty; ICU, or, PACU, or cath lab [Required]
• 2+ years related experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
