ABOUT THIS ROLE

<p>Delivers fundamental knowledge-based care to assigned clients while developing technical skills. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Administers medications and assists in the performance of procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Major Duties Include, but are not limited to: Delivers and manages the care of patients undergoing therapeutic and diagnostic cardiology procedures including both inpatients and outpatients in a supervised planned training program. Assesses the patients physical and mental status prior to procedures, educates on procedural and pre/post-procedural care, and documents responses to interventions, findings, and reports any changes. Functions in many roles and may include, pre-procedure assessments, post procedural recovery, and assisting physicians during procedures in accordance with their learning plan. Trained on the maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of cardiology specific equipment. Aware of changes in patient care situations and participate appropriately in emergency situations. Adapts to changes in the daily schedule. Preferred Experience: 2 years Nursing Experience, Cardiac Catheterization or Electrophysiology preferred. Complete all application requirements detailed in the "Required Documents" section of this announcement.<h3>Education</h3>Note: Only education or degrees recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) may be used to qualify for nursing positions. The approving official may authorize a waiver of the requirement for ACEN or CCNE accreditation of any degree in nursing provided the college or university has regional accreditation from an accrediting body recognized by the Department of Education at the time of the candidate's graduation and the composite qualifications of the applicant warrant such consideration.
