ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>This position is for am Assistant Nurse Manager - Registered Nurse in the Acute Care Unit at the Hampton VA Medical Center, in Hampton Virginia.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties: Functions as a clinical expert and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Demonstrate sound decision-making and judgment and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Leads innovative process improvement initiatives. Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) supports the Nurse Manager (NM) with supervisory duties and responsibility and accountability for the operation of their designated units. Provides coverage for other ANMs as needed. The ANM has responsibility and accountability for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, development of staff, and evaluation of individual staff performance.
