Job Description:

Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness. Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care. Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels. Promotes evidence-based practice, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning. Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns and provide guidance. Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care. Other duties as assigned. Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals. Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions.

Days: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Possess a broad nursing knowledge, leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently. [Required]

• Possess insight for employee growth and development and the ability to do effective impartial counseling. [Required]

• Working knowledge of budgets and healthcare finance and leadership capabilities. [Required]

• Has ability to work a varied schedule, to include night and weekend hours, with visibility to all shifts. [Required]

• Must be able to use all systems (i.e. Clairvia, Capacity Management) as required on unit. [Required]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]

• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 3+ years prior leadership experience in team leader role [Required]

• 5+ years acute care nursing experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert and NIHSS [Required]

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

Pay Range:

$37.39 - $69.54
