As ANM, you will utilize your leadership skills to enhance organization, workflow, procedures and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in an ambulatory setting. You will support RNs, MAs, LPNs, Schedulers and other caregivers by covering everything from assisting with care activities to monitoring daily outpatient operations. In this role, not only can you make a difference in the lives of patients and their families but also your fellow caregivers.
A caregiver in this position works shifts of 2 weekday nights +1 weekend shift per week between 5:30pm and 6:30am.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
• Oversee nursing personnel and patient care providers in the clinical setting.
• Coordinate activities to ensure quality and safe patient care.
• Anticipate and resolve patient care and personnel issues.
• Assure maintenance of annual staff competencies and continuing education.
• Performs duties of the RN Ambulatory as needed.
• Collaborate with Care Coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transition of care.
• Participate and/or coordinate committees, task forces, continuous improvement activities and department leadership meetings.
• Assumes responsibilities of the Clinical Manager as needed.
• Monitor daily operations of outpatient clinics.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Or the American Red Cross
• Two years of RN experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
• Supervisory experience
Physical Requirements:
• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
