Advanced Practice Nurse

<p>About the Position: Serve as an Advanced Practice Nurse with the Department of Defense at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Liberty, NC. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Perform rapid assessment, triage, and stabilization of emergency patients.</p><p>Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and traumatic injuries.</p><p>Order and interpret laboratory test, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.</p><p>Coordinate emergency patient care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.</p><p>Determine patient disposition, including admission, transfer, discharge, or specialty referral.</p><p>Respond to life-threatening emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.</p><p>Document patient assessments, treatments, and medical decisions in the electronic health record.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
