Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Ireland Army Medical Center, Fort Knox, Kentucky. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Nurse Practitioner performing a variety of professional nursing and health services to patients of all ages. Clinic/work hours are 0730-1600 Monday-Friday. This is an open continuous announcement. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Conduct and direct collaborative care assessment, diagnosis and management of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.</p><p>Assess acute and non-acute clinical problems during patient visit.</p><p>Participate in continuing education programs to maintain and update skills and knowledge.</p><p>Obtain and record health history; performs a systematic physical examination and interprets abnormal and normal findings to form a diagnosis</p><p>Order and interpret related laboratory and diagnostic tests; prescribes medications; and initiates emergency care.</p><p>Implement the patient therapeutic care plan, with significant emphasis in the areas of patient/family education, assessment, and support.</p><p>Prescribe and administer medication to the patient.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
