Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, AZ. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Assess acute and non-acute clinical problems.</p><p>Order and interpret related laboratory and diagnostic tests.</p><p>Prescribe medications.</p><p>Educate patients and their families regarding healthcare processes and diagnostic tests.</p><p>Provide counseling to patients and their families in prevention of illness, maintenance of health, and attainment of physical, mental, and social well-being</p><p>Develop, review, and update policies, protocols, standards of care, operating procedures, and scope of practice, in collaboration with multidisciplinary members of the healthcare team.</p><p>Coordinate and conduct in-service education programs for health care professionals and serves as an advisor/member of assigned committees.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
