Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner)

<p>About the Position: This position serves as a Nurse Practitioner providing independent and collaborative specialty care, comprehensive and therapeutic health care services, at major military medical treatment facility, e.g. medical center, ambulatory hospital, or health clinic. It is located at Womack Army Medical Center's, at Fort Bragg, NC This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Conduct collaborative care assessment, diagnosis and management of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.</p><p>Educate patients and their families regarding healthcare processes and diagnostic tests.</p><p>Consult and collaborate with physicians regarding patient management, to include evaluating and revising therapeutic plans and managing high-risk, unstable, or extremely complex patients.</p><p>Develop, review, and update policies, protocols, standards of care, operating procedures, and scope of practice, in collaboration with multidisciplinary members of the healthcare team.</p><p>Serve as project lead or associate in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of healthcare and trauma programs.</p><p>Order and interpret related laboratory and diagnostic tests; prescribe medications; and initiate emergency care.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
