ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSE (NURSE PRACTITIONER)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Army Health Clinic Presidio, DIR of Branch Clinics, Monterey, CA. Advance in Hire MAY be authorized. This is available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Recruitment/Relocation incentives MAY be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Conduct collaborative care assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.</p><p>Perform comprehensive assessment of patients to include medical history, physical examinations, and more to form a diagnosis.</p><p>Order diagnostic or laboratory tests to prescribe medication and initiate emergency care as appropriate.</p><p>Provide counseling to patients and their families in prevention of illness, maintenance of health, and attainment of physical, mental, and social well-being.</p><p>Evaluate care delivery strategies to make recommendations to improve quality of care procedures and processes.</p><p>Serve as a preceptor to graduate students enrolled in nurse practitioner and physician assistant programs, medical students and to newly assigned nurse practitioners.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
