<p>About the Position: This is a Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) at Norfolk, Virginia.This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advanced leave accrual maybe authorized</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Performs comprehensive physical assessments of patients to include baseline data such as past medical and surgical history, family history, social history, and immunization history.</p><p>Performs pre-deployment and post-deployment assessments of active duty personnel.</p><p>Performs Preventive Health Assessment (PHA)/Reserve Component PHA exams, overseas clearances for dependents, and medical evaluation board (MEB) summaries on military personnel in accordance with annual requirements.</p><p>Performs or requests special screening and development tests and laboratory tests and interprets the results.</p><p>Prescribes and monitors pain management regimes in patients with chronic pain.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
