Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner/Occupational Health)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Naval Branch Health Clinic Groton, Groton, Connecticut. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Organize and direct the Occupational Medicine and Preventive Med program.</p><p>Supervise and evaluate Occupational Medicine personnel in the clinic at the medical treatment facility.</p><p>Inspect facilities and conducts periodic audit of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) programs for compliance with regulations.</p><p>Provide medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment according to standardized medical protocols for occupational and non-occupational illnesses.</p><p>Prescribe pharmaceuticals in compliance with DHA privileges for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
