Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Anesthetist)

<p>About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Anesthetize patients for a broad range of surgery to include but not limited to pediatric surgery; Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT); Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN); orthopedics; oral maxillofacial surgery, and Gastrointestinal (GI) procedures.</p><p>Administer anesthetics to patients by inhalation, regional, intravenous, local, or topical means.</p><p>Determine the appropriate anesthetic agent and method of administering the agent.</p><p>Monitor patients' fluid loss.</p><p>Supervise and monitor the quality of anesthesia care administered by the student nurse anesthetists.</p><p>Assist in the implementation of the Anesthesia Performance Improvement Program.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
