Advance Practice Nurse (Nurse Anesthetist)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide full range of direct anesthetic services and pain management to eligible beneficiaries of a Defense Health Agency (DHA) Military Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).</p><p>Determine the optimal type and method of anesthesia care to administer for a broad range of surgical procedures at the MTF.</p><p>Provide immediate, post-operative care to patients transported to the PACU, ICU or recovery area; ensure patient airway, hemodynamic stability, optimal pain control and appropriate level of consciousness.</p><p>Evaluate data, with respect to anesthesia and evolvement within the field, to determine and discuss type of anesthesia to be used, and to explain expected outcomes and possible anesthetic complications.</p><p>Recommend methods and processes to reduce resource consumption, ensuring the patient receives quality care at the most appropriate level.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
