ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>Vacancy for the Accreditation Nurse Manager for San Francisco VA Medical Center. Functions as a clinical expert in and executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex patient care. The supervisory nurse manger must be detail oriented, demonstrate leadership, possess quality experience, and creative approaches to management of complex client care.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties include but are not limited to: Oversee the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of nursing quality metrics across the facility. Coordinate accurate data collection processes, ensuring reliability, completeness, and timely submission. Analyze quality trends and present findings to nursing leadership, committees, and interdisciplinary teams. Support quality improvement (QI) projects aimed at improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Develop, revise, and implement nursing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory, accreditation, and best-practice standards. Serve as a resource for evidence-based practice, helping integrate research and guidelines into clinical care. Collaborate with nurse managers, frontline staff, and specialty teams to advance quality-driven initiatives. Promote and monitor a culture of safety through event review, safety rounds, education, and improvement strategies. Provide staff education on performance metrics, quality initiatives, documentation practices, and process changes. Work closely with departments such as infection prevention, risk management, compliance, and patient experience. Support organizational readiness for accreditation surveys. Prepare and deliver quality dashboards, outcome reports, and presentations for leadership and committees. Contribute to strategic planning for nursing quality, safety priorities, and long-term performance goals.
