<p>This Supervisory Dietitian (Clinical Nutrition) position is located within the Nutrition and Food Services at the VA Bedford Healthcare Systems in Bedford, MA. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Supervisory Dietitian (Clinical Nutrition) assignment oversee the clinical nutrition section of NFS providing administrative and technical supervision over staff which includes clinical dietitians at the GS11 level and below and clinical dietetic technicians.Duties may include, but are not limited to: Responsible for the execution of clinical nutrition programming within the facility, community-based clinics, and the local community. Provides administrative management and direction of the Clinical Nutrition Section. Ensures proper coordination between the delivery of clinical nutrition services and the overall delivery of health care. Responsible for the evidence-based guidelines are integrated into clinical practice and collaborate closely with the Supervisory Dietitian (Food operations) to enhance the Veteran's dining Supports the strategic goals of the food operations section. Serves as a professional and technical advisor to staff and other health care professionals. Completes projects, committees and workgroups within the department and facility. Plans, directs and assess the work and competence of subordinate staff. Collaborates with other managers in the medical center to negotiate and/or make decisions related matters affecting clinical operations. Develops procedures and guidelines for clinical operations and monitors compliance with regulatory standards and policies and procedures. In some cases, more than one SF-50 may be required to show a higher grade previously held.</p><h3>Requirements</h3>You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job.
