<p>The Systems Redesign (SR) RN is a member of the Systems Redesign and Improvement program, and is responsible for demonstrating leadership, collegiality, experience in project management, change management, and process improvement approaches such as Lean Six Sigma, ProSci as well as various other process improvement methodologies, to execute Systems Redesign responsibilities.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Major Duties: Coordinates necessary activities with individuals/services to direct and coordinate the administrative, operational planning activities with coordination and consultation within and between administrative and clinical services. Provide technical direction to AVAHCS staff to ensure that local, VISN, and national strategies, performance and process improvement, and goals are met. Collects, organizes, and reports various performance measure Data to the team, top management and VISN leadership. Follow up with outlier services for corrective actions. Participate in all SR-related committees and projects. Utilizes process improvement methodologies and techniques such as Lean Six Sigma, and various other process improvement management concepts along with following the SRD models such as Plan-Do-Study-Act, etc., to assist in a wide variety of studies or surveys to improve prioritization, efficiency, and economy of operations. Recommend changes in existing policy and operations relative to methods, techniques, organization, and procedures without limitation of scope or impact. Coordinates all assignments and special projects identified by leadership. Provides guidance and follow-through on Lean Management initiatives. Responsible for facilitating projects as assigned to drive improvement within facility-wide clinical and business processes, including facilitating kaizen events, rapid process improvement events, conducting data analysis, identifying root causes, and developing solutions based on Lean Six Sigma principles and practices. Provide direct support promoting and participating in facility-wide communication and provision of Lean Six Sigma education and training activities as directed by the Systems Redesign Program Coordinator. The Systems Redesign Coordinator will ensure that the Systems Redesign activities are planned, coordinated, communicated, and executed in a timely, consistent, and comprehensive manner. Research, analyze, and organize information respective to process improvement projects and compose briefing summaries. Responsible for in-depth data analysis and creation of graphics using appropriate tools such as Microsoft Excel. Responsible for developing recommendations and action plans supported by data analysis. Will work in the area(s) assigned by the Supervisory Systems Redesign Coordinator or designee.
