<p>About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center with the Director for Surgery, Department of Preoperative Nursing. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Obtain patient history and collect health information.</p><p>Interpret data, identifies wellness and risk factors, and formulate patient care plans.</p><p>Set up, operate, and monitor medical equipment.</p><p>Maintain patient awareness and take appropriate action as needed.</p><p>Interpret and report significant changes in patient's condition to the licensed independent providers (LIP).</p><p>Evaluate the effectiveness of patient treatment and revise care plans in consultation with the LIP.</p><p>Manage non-urgent patient problems and recommend self-care based on approved protocols.</p><p>Perform comprehensive assessments of patient and family learning needs.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
