Companionship for Hospice Patients

Companionship volunteers are needed to visit with and enrich the quality of life for a patient with a life-shortening diagnosis who is receiving hospice care. This program, with adequate training, allows volunteers to be matched one on one with a patient. The volunteer will be able to have his/her autonomy to choose various ways to offer kindness through companionship, which may include general dialogue, reading, sharing musical talents, and at times just simply holding their hand.
